2004, SMA lay missionaries from the American Province joined the
international SMA team ministering in Tanzania. They serve in
parishes, outstations and in various ministries in response to
the needs of the local church. Pastoral
Ministries in Mwanza: SMA missionaries, who are trained
in local African languages, are able to speak with the people
in their own language and participate in various pastoral ministries
in parishes, particularly youth work, Bible study, home visitations,
AIDS outreach, etc.
S.M.A. Lay Missionaries serve in the Ilemela AIDS Project for AIDS orphans, and they have also worked in other ministries with teens, street children, and adults, as well as with administrative tasks. Some have done construction of S.M.A. buildings. |
