From West
via Rt. 80
Stay in the local lanes as you travel on Rte. 80 East. Rte 80 and Rte 95 merge. Continue on Rte80/95 North ( do not go toward the NJ Turnpike).
Take exit 71— Leonia/Broad Ave. exit. Bear to the right at the end of the exit ramp onto Broad Ave. (Follow the blue hospital signs for Englewood hospital where you see them.) Take Broad Ave to the end (the third traffic light—note you will also go through a four-way stop sign and for a short while Broad Ave. becomes Dana Place ). Left onto Palisades Ave. After turning on to Palisades Ave. there is a traffic light almost immediately. Go through this and at the next traffic light make a right onto Engle St .
On Engle St. , you will pass Englewood hospital which is on the left. At the first traffic light after the hospital ( E. Hudson St .) Engle St. becomes two ways. Bliss Avenue is the first right turn after the traffic light. Entrance to SMA is the third driveway on the left.
From the South via NJ Turnpike/Rte. 95 North
Take the NJ Turnpike/Rte. 95 North. Pay tolls at the end of the Turnpike. Stay in the local lanes when Rte. 95 North splits to local/express lanes for the George Washington Bridge . Take exit 71 and follow the directions above from exit 71 onward.
Via GARDEN STATE PARKWAY NORTH
Take the Garden State Parkway to Rte. 80 East. Follow directions above for “From the west via Rte. 80.
From
NYC via George Washington Bridge:
GW Bridge West to Route 4 West. Take third Exit off Rt. 4 to Grand Avenue in Englewood . Go North on Grand Avenue which becomes Engle Street in Englewood . Pass Englewood Hospital (on the left.) At the first traffic light after the hospital, the traffic becomes two-way. Bliss Avenue is the first right turn after the traffic light. Entrance to SMA is third driveway on the left.
As an alternative, from the upper level of the GWB you can get in the far right lane, exit onto the Palisades Parkway and take those directions as listed below.
From NYC via the Lincoln Tunnel
and Garden State Parkway
Lincoln Tunnel to rt. 95 West to
Route 3 West, access off two right lanes of route 95. Route 3
West to Garden State Parkway North to Exit 161, which is marked
Paramus/Route 4. Take Rt. 4 East to Grand Avenue, Englewood Exit
(NOTE: this is the second Grand Avenue exit). Turn Right at sign
marked “Business District”, then make the next right turn to Grand
Avenue. Take Grand Avenue North to Engle street. Pass Englewood
Hospital (on the left.) At the first traffic light after the hospital,
the traffic becomes two-way. Bliss Avenue is the first right turn
after the traffic light. Entrance to SMA is third driveway on
the left.
From Tappan Zee Bridge
TZ Bridge to 287 West. Exit 10 to 9W South (the first exit after the Bridge) Take 9W South to Tenafly. After a 15-20 minute drive, there is a sign for Tenafly at the traffic light at Clinton Avenue . Turn right on Clinton Avenue and continue down the hill. At the first traffic light turn left onto Engle Street . Pass a STOP sign and go ¼ mile beyond it (you will pass Oak and Elm Streets). Turn left onto Bliss Avenue . Entrance to SMA is third driveway on the left.

From Palisades Parkway
Get off at Exit One in NJ (before the exits for the George Washington Bridge at the end of the Parkway if you are coming from the North). Go down Palisades Ave. , following the blue hospital signs for Englewood Hospital . Continue following the hospital signs and turn onto Engle St (at the 6 th traffic light). Follow directions above once they indicate the turn onto Engle St .
By Bus from NYCFrom Port Authority Bus Terminal in Manhattan : Take NJ Transit Bus #166. Access the bus at Platform 211 for express. Platform 212 for local. Either will stop at Bliss Avenue (Be sure to inform the driver when you board). You may purchase either a one-way ticket or a round trip ticket at the time you board the bus. Keep an eye out for Englewood Hospital which will be on your left and normally 30-45 minutes after leaving the Port Authority terminal. Immediately after passing through the next traffic light push the button for the stop signal.
Note: You must push the button immediately or the bus will pass by Bliss Ave. Walk up Bliss Ave. to the third driveway on the left and you will be at SMA. |
